IMPORTANT PASSENGER INFORMATION REGARDING BAGGAGE ALLOWANCES

General Information on Checked Baggage Allowances
A checked baggage allowance of 20kg per passenger applies to each customer who has paid a checked bag fee. Any passenger checking in baggage exceeding this checked baggage allowance will be charged an excess baggage fee of £5.50/€8 per kilo (or local currency equivalent).

Passengers may not use the unused checked baggage allowance of other passengers. No pooling/sharing of the checked baggage allowance is permitted, even within a party travelling on the same Confirmation Number.

AS A RESULT OF THESE RESTRICTIONS - EXTRA SEATS CANNOT BE PURCHASED FOR THE CARRIAGE OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, WEDDING DRESSES, ETC

Hand Baggage Allowance (10KG per person)
Each passenger is permitted to carry ONE item of hand baggage up to 10kg with the maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm (hand baggage restrictions apply from certain countries - see below for details of restrictions by country)

Passengers who arrive at the airport with hand baggage exceeding the maximum permitted hand baggage dimensions (size restrictions apply from UK airports- see below for details) will be required to pay an additional checked bag fee or if they are over the maximum 20kg baggage allowance per person, an excess baggage fee will be charged of £5.50/€8 per kilo (or local currency equivalent).

Checking In For Flights
Passengers should check in no later than 2 hours prior to their scheduled flight departure, to allow sufficient time to check in and to clear security. Flights cannot wait for passengers delayed at security points.

NEW HAND BAGGAGE RESTRICTIONS

UK Departing Flights - Hand Baggage Restrictions
Each passenger is permitted to carry ONE item of hand baggage through the airport security point. The maximum dimensions must not exceed a 45cm (length), 35ch (width) and 16cm (depth). These dimensions would include the wheels, handles, side pockets, etc.). All items carried by passengers will be x-ray screened.

N.B. These restricted hand baggage dimensions are smaller than our published hand baggage dimensions.

Passengers carrying hand baggage that is larger that the above dimensions will not be permitted to enter the security restricted area and will not be permitted to return to the check-in area. In order to ensure that you will be accepted for entry to the security restricted area, please ensure that you fully comply with the following:

Cabin/hand baggage MUST NOT contain:

Any cosmetics
Any toiletries
Any liquids
Any drinks
Cigarette lighters
No gels, pastes, lotions, (e.g. toothpaste, hair gel, drinks, deodorant, shaving foam, aerosols, etc.) Nothing must be carried in pockets.

Cabin baggage CAN contain the following:
Electronic equipment, including laptops, mobile phones and portable music and DVD players.
Prescribed medicines in liquid form e.g. diabetic medicines Baby milk and liquid baby food (the contents of each bottle MUST be tasted by the parent) All electronic equipment will need to be removed from the item of hand baggage and screened separately.
Pushchairs and walking aids will be permitted but must be x-ray screened and searched.

Hand Baggage Restrictions For Flights Departing From Poland to the UK
No hand baggage is permitted on flights from Poland to the UK.

Passengers are only permitted to take the following items through the airport security:

Travel documents essential for the journey (e.g. passports, tickets and visas) Pocket sized wallets and pocket sized purses plus contents (for example money, credit cards and identity cards).
Prescribed medicines essential for the duration of the flight, except in liquid form unless verified as authentic.
Spectacles and sunglasses, without cases.
Contact lenses, without bottles of solution For those traveling with an infant: baby food, milk and sanitary items essential for the flight.
Keys (but no electrical key fobs).

All other items must be carried in customer’s hold luggage.
Handbags are not permitted.

For clarity: passengers are advised that no electrical or battery powered items including laptops, mobile phones, ipods, remote controls etc. can be carried in the aircraft cabin when travelling on flights from Poland to the UK and must be checked in as hold baggage.

Hand Baggage Restrictions For Flights Departing From France And Italy To The UK
Cabin/hand baggage MUST NOT contain:

Electronic equipment, including laptops, mobile phones and portable music and DVD players.
Prescribed medicines in liquid form e.g. diabetic medicines Baby milk and liquid baby food (the contents of each bottle MUST be tasted by the parent) All electronic equipment will need to be removed from the item of hand baggage and screened separately.

Passengers travelling from France and Italy to the UK will be subject to screening checks upon entry to the restricted area and again at the boarding gate.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can i make changes or cancel my flight booking?
If your flight ticket states "non-refundable" only, then in some cases changes can be made for a fee, subject to the airlines terms and conditions. However if your flight states "non-changeable and non-refundable", you will not be able to make changes to your flight booking. If you decide to cancel you will be able to claim back the value of Government taxes.

Do I have to book by credit card?
No. SBC Worldwide Vacations (part of Holidays4You) are also able to accept cheques for payment, in addition to accepting all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, Delta and Switch) as payment for most products. We are, however, unable to accept cash for any payments made.

Can I make changes or cancel my hotel booking?
Hotels can be changed or cancelled according to each property's rules and restrictions. Some properties impose penalties, such as one night's stay, if you cancel your reservation within a certain number of days before your scheduled check-in date. Other properties charge a small penalty for changes made any time after a room is booked.

Do I need a VISA for my trip?
It is the passenger's responsibility to gather any necessary passport and visa documentation prior to departure and if in doubt, you should contact the consulate of the country you are travelling to. Please note that if you have a connecting flight via a third country, you may also require a transit visa.

Is Breakfast included at my hotel?
Unless stated otherwise, all rooms are provided on a room only basis. For further information, please check the hotel website or your holiday itinerary. If breakfast is included it will be detailed here. Should you require further help with this matter, please email us with your questions.

Baggage allowance details
The total weight allowance permitted for all baggage carried for your journey is shown on the bottom right hand corner of your ticket.

Passengers travelling Economy Class can usually take along 20 kg (44 lbs) without extra charges. Passengers travelling Business Class can usually take along 30 kg (66 lbs).

These weight restrictions apply to most airlines to and from all countries except for the United States and Canada where they generally use a piece system. The two pieces are allowed to be no more than 158 cm in size each (length + width + height).

All airlines operating at Heathrow Airport do not accept any single bag weighing more than 32kg (70lbs). The 32kg limit on an individual bag does not affect your total baggage weight allowance, as set by your airline. Passengers are urged to check the weight of their bag before setting off for the airport, if however you're already at the airport and your bag weighs more than 32kg you will be asked to re-pack before checking in. Passengers who need to carry items which exceed the 32kg weight limit such as some sporting equipment, should make special arrangements with their airline in advance.

For information, the total weight allowance permitted for all baggage carried for your journey is shown on your ticket or on your e-ticket receipt. Please note: Within the permitted allowance no single piece of baggage may exceed 32kg /70lbs.

Please note Continental airlines have recently changed their baggage allowance on Economy fares to and from Canada and the USA to 2 bags: Maximum 50 lbs (23 kg) and 62 linear inches (157 cm) (total length + width + height) per piece.
